About The Course

1 Year Full Time Healthcare Service Skills Course
QQI Level 5

The Healthcare Service Skills course offers training for those seeking a role in care support, porter services and maintenance in hospitals and healthcare services, in Dublin and neighbouring counties.

You will be well supported in progression to employment as Inchicore College has established itself as one of the leading providers of high-quality healthcare quali-fications at Levels 5 and 6. We will help you to develop personal and interpersonal skills necessary to secure employment in a healthcare setting with emphasis on service skills training at an academic pace suited to your needs.

Employment in nursing homes, disability settings, hospices and respite/day care facilities will also be accessible to you.

Minimum Entry Requirements

Leaving Certificate: O6/H7 in 5 subjects
or Leaving Certificate Applied
or NFQ Level 4 major award
Equivalent qualifications will be considered

Mature applicants who have relevant experience and may not meet the above are welcome to apply.

Progression Opportunities and Employment Prospects

This course leads to progression at Level 6 in Inchicore College and other FET colleges. Learners availing of this course will come from diverse social, economic and/or cultural backgrounds and may be currently employed in healthcare, re-entering the workforce or primarily focused on accessing employment in the health services.
