Mica Moroney

The theme of my work this year was traces. A traces is a mark, object, or other indication of the existence or passing of something. My portfolio Project started with me looking at teeth, I then moved onto marks, impressions, traces and remnants.I was interested in forms and lines that were unintentionally created, by repetitive movements or the weight or touch of something else. Underlying my work, is an interest in the physical presence of the body and its continued presence in absence.
