This two-year full-time course is designed to prepare students for a career in inter-national travel and tourism management or to progress to higher education.
The course focuses on management within the industry and will train you in the skills and competencies necessary to pursue a range of employment opportunities. The course covers areas such as heritage and cultural tourism management and sustainable tourism. Specialist speakers and industry visits are a regular part of the programme and link the academic aspect of the course with the practicalities of the industry.
We offer a number of optional qualifications including certification from the Academy of Aviation in Airport Passengers Services and certification in airline reservation systems (Amadeus).

Minimum Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate: O6/H7 in 4 subjects plus at least one O2/H6. Subjects must include English.
or QQI Level 5 Award in Tourism or a related discipline.

Applicant Information Meeting
All applicants will be invited to an Applicant Information Meeting.
Successful graduates may gain advanced entry to a range of higher education courses. Previous graduates have continued their studies in DIT, ITT, NCI and Maynooth University.
Graduates gain employment in areas such as airlines, travel agencies, retail management, hotels and tour operators. Many gain employment on successful completion with the organisation in which they completed their work experience during their studies here in Inchicore College.
