Materials charge: The tutor will bring some supplies for use on the first day and then speak with students on that first day to advise on how to purchase materials for the remaining weeks. It will cost approximately 55 euro (depending on how many projects you work through) and she will advise about suppliers on that date too.
Notes: All courses are subject to a minimum number in order to proceed. In the event that a course is oversubscribed, places will be offered on a first-booked, first-served basis and a waiting list will then be created. You will be contacted in this event.
Over the course of eight weeks you will focus on the copper foil technique that was made famous by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the early 1900’s. You will also learn how to solder and refine your technique with plenty of practice each week.
Aideen Kilbride has been involved in teaching stained glass techniques for many years. She teaches all over Dublin and her classes always have a waiting list and a legacy of students returning over and over again to build their skills even further. She teaches for City of Dublin Education and Training Board night classes with a number of centres and she also works with Klear Adult Education in North County Dublin. Aideen teaches in a group setting but lets everyone work at their own pace. Classes are relaxed, informal, and above all, fun.
