We have all become so familiar with our four walls over this last year but does your home now need some freshening up, but you don’t know where to start? If so, this is the course for you.
Over ten weeks, you will learn the techniques and develop the skills to tackle a variety of home interior painting jobs with confidence. They say “fail to prepare, prepare to fail” and this is especially true when trying to create a high professional finish in your home without knowing the techniques of the trade.
On this course you will learn to prepare different surfaces and be introduced to a wide variety of paint finishes such as antiquing and marbling. Maybe you would like to update your kitchen by repainting those cabinets, or creatively paint/stencil your child’s room, or maybe upcycle a small furniture item? You will practice these skills, with Ciara in class, on boards and different surfaces. Learning by doing will give you the confidence to style your home, your way, and at a fraction of the cost.
Ciara McGoldrick is an artist, decorator, and interior painter from Dublin. She is an IADT Arts graduate and recipient of the Dock arts graduate award. Ciara has an extensive portfolio of work in Ireland and abroad. These include commercial and private projects, such as the reinstatement of the original stencil work in St. Aidan’s Cathedral, Enniscorthy and Arnott’s window displays.
Ciara is a big believer in hands-on learning and encourages all her students to trust themselves, experiment, and have fun. You will gain huge skills in a supportive setting on this course.
