Description

So many people are now working and studying from home, applying for jobs online, and using the computer and internet in their daily lives. Yet, many of us are fearful when using our devices.

Fionnuala will cover all the basics with you in this eight-week course. So, wherever the gaps are, they will be filled. You will work as an individual, at your own pace, in a group environment.

You will learn about your computer’s basic control panel & storage, how to file accurately, name and organise documents, and create folders efficiently.  You will practice improving the appearance of text, the layout of professional letters, how to change margins and orientation, how to copy, move (cut) and paste text, how to compose, reply, forward, print & delete messages, send an e-mail to multiple users, how to use CC & BCC, and how to attach pictures and files such as a C.V. or letter. In addition to all of this you will learn how to start and use a spreadsheet in Excel. This will include helpful basic functions such as navigating a workbook and how to use clever tools like Autosum, and so much more. Take this opportunity to develop your confidence and competence in the online world, in a safe, real world environment.
