Accounting and Finance are business skills that can be used in any industry or in the formation of your own business.
This course aims to develop the practical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills students will require to ensure academic and professional success in accounting and finance in a constantly changing world.
Accounting and finance skills and qualification can help to secure employment in any industry, thus increasing employment prospects.
The sector also provides career opportunities at various levels and can easily accommodate remote working.
The development of International Accounting Standards allows employees to work globally.
There are also opportunities within finance firms. Most of the top finance firms have a base in Ireland ‘the damage to the global hub of the city of London means more of them will be consolidating their operations in an EU country, with Ireland set to benefit here’ (Irish Times January 2021)
