Sofya Smallwood

During this year I really wanted to focus on developing my skills and working with as many different mediums that I could. I also wanted to explore different styles and methods. I discovered that I gravitated towards paint, mainly gouache and acrylic more than any other medium. The theme of my work throughout the year was structure and shape, for example the shapes of knives, the structure of lines and the illusions they can give etc. Moving forward with my art I want to concentrate on bettering the skills I’ve learned this year and work on stepping out of my comfort zone.
