My portfolio project started with me looking at old houses and buildings from the art class room in ICFE. I found the buildings in Dublin city centre very interesting. The contrast between the modern architectural buildings and the simplicity of the old houses. I drew the buildings from a distant view point which which slightly abstracted them. I also focused on the fine details of certain parts of the buildings.

Drawing the buildings led me into thinking about who was living in these buildings and more importantly who is not. From that thought I started drawing homeless people. I then started drawing celebrities like Tupac and Ice cube in fine detail. All through the portfolio I was thinking about the divide between those that have and those who have not.
