Molly Beirne

My project this year was based around the theme of Alzheimer’s. I chose this as my theme because my granny was diagnosed with this disease and I wanted to take a deeper look into it through art. I had many ideas on where I wanted this project to go and I’m extremely happy about how my pieces turned out in the end. A lot of work was based around the idea of trying to put together something that has become fractured or of trying to get at something you know is there but can’t reach. Some of my pieces aren’t based on this theme but I used Alzheimer’s as an inspiration for my main ones.
