About this course:
For many reasons, adults come to acting later in life. Brendan Gleeson’s career is just one example of what can be achieved if you take your courage into your hands and step into the world of acting. This eight-week course will support you as your inner actor bursts forth, and who knows? This could be a whole new chapter for you.
What it definitely will also be for everyone is a fun, safe, and a supportive environment where like-minded people can enjoy expressing themselves fully. Each week you will begin class with a physical warm up for the body and voice. There will be structured improvisations and rehearsal of technical elements relating to text, movement, and voice. You will also look at classical and contemporary texts in order to rehearse and devise scenes.
Aaron is an experienced actor and has worked on both stage and screen over the last number of years. He has also appeared in a range of television programmes including Red Rock and Fair City. He is equally committed to sharing the craft of acting with others and has recently completed his Masters in Theatre Studies with University College Dublin (UCD). Aaron’s enthusiasm and knowledge are a perfect combination to support you as you begin or further develop your acting skills.
