Notes: All courses are subject to a minimum number in order to proceed. In the event that a course is oversubscribed, places will be offered on a first-booked, first-served basis and a waiting list will then be created. You will be contacted in this event. Please see the Night School welcome page for details on strategies to be offered in the event of Government-imposed Covid restrictions in January.
For many reasons, adults come to acting later in life. Brendan Gleeson’s career is just one example of what can be achieved if you take your courage into your hands and step into the world of acting. This ten-week course will support you as your inner actor bursts forth, and who knows? This could be a whole new chapter for you.
What it definitely will also be for everyone is a fun, safe, and supportive environment where like-minded people can enjoy expressing themselves fully. Each week you will begin class with a physical warm up for the body and voice. There will be structured improvisations and rehearsal of technical elements relating to text, movement, and voice. You will also look at classical and contemporary texts in order to rehearse and devise scenes.
