About The Course

Dance Studies

Dance Studies is a one-year dance programme at QQI Level 5 which will prepare you for a well-rounded education in dance. This course offers you the chance to achieve a higher standard of dance technique and performance ability and the opportunity to obtain international dance certifications. You will be expected to complete work experience in a dance school or dance company and will have the opportunity to take part in an Erasmus+ programme in Austria and France. View our European Work Experience page here.

Advanced Dance

Advanced Dance is a two-year dance programme at QQI Level 6 equivalent. This course will further develop your choreographic and technical dance skills in preparation for a career in the dance profession, either in Ireland or internationally. A particular attraction of this course is that you will have the opportunity to obtain the ISTD DDE international teaching qualifications in classical ballet and modern theatre dance. Graduate Profile

Kate-Anne Fenton

“I chose to study Dance Studies at ICFE because I knew I could get world recognised teaching qualifications. While studying I had many amazing opportunities to choreograph and perform allowing me to grow as a dancer and individual. One of my many memorable experiences was training at Le Pacific Dance Centre in Grenoble France for three weeks.

The wonderful training I had at ICFE enabled me to gain a place at Bird College Of Dance and Theatre Performance in London. The teaching experience I gained at ICFE meant I could teach part-time during the week and help fund my training. I am currently Touring the UK with the musical ‘Crazy For You’. I am so grateful for the training I received at ICFE and am so thankful to the wonderful Dance Studies Faculty for all their guidance and support.”
