Computer Business Applications

This course will provide a sound foundation in the practical use of a wide variety of computer application packages. It will be of benefit to anyone interested in a career in a business or commercial computer environment. The aim is to give the students proficiency in a number of computer based skills which would be of value particularly in a business environment.

Description

The course is full time for one year. Students will be required to attend lectures four days a week and one day a week will be given to work experience. There is a strong emphasis on the practical elements in each module. Successful students will obtain the QQI Level 5 Information Processing Award.

Graduates may also avail of the opportunity to further their education by gaining entry to various Institutes of Technology in Ireland to study on Higher Certificate and Degree level programmes.

Entry Requirements
Students who have reached a Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied standard are invited to apply. Mature students without formal qualifications but who have relevant experience may also apply.
Additional Requirements
Admittance to the course will depend on satisfying an interview board of the candidate’s suitability.
